ASCL is administrated under a triune mechanism with the Academic Committee as the academic guidance, the director’s office meeting for day-to-day operation and administration, and Team leader professors for academic activities and disciplinary development.
The director of ASCL is responsible for day-to-day operation and administration, with administrative vice director, research vice director, assistant director and academic secretary.
ASCL consists of three parts: faculties, technicians and administrators.
Nine innovative teams have been set up based on independent research topics of key projects. Each team has an academic leader and certain number of researchers including faculties and graduate students.
Technicians and administrators belong to the centre lab in ASCL. Technicians are responsible for development, operation and maintenance of key equipment, and administrators are in charge of day-to-day operation and management.
To better coordinate ASCL with its dependant disciplines, agreed by the Academic Committee, ASCL establishes a leading group which consists of the dean of College of Automotive Engineering (CAE), party secretary of CAE and professors who lead all the innovative teams. The leading group offers assistance to the director of ASCL to better deal with key issues and discipline-related matters.
